Understanding the construction process is very helpful from start to finish. In our initial contacts with a customer, we need to establish the scope of the project, the proposed timeline, site location and preliminary budgets.

It is helpful to the process to establish your own project goals. Do you have a clear picture of what you want your finished project to look like? Have you visited home shows, looked at design books, web sites, etc to get inspiration? It’s great if you can start a folder or scrapbook of your ideas. Think about how the new space will be used, and how it will best fit your lifestyle.

Once a customer has received a proposed budget range for their project, and it is within their comfort zone, then the project can be taken to the next stage.

Certified construction drawings will be drawn up ready to submit to the building department for permits. A final quote on the work will be given. A detailed written contract outlining the scope of the work and the price will be presented. Once the contract is signed, a construction start can be scheduled.

During construction, our customers can rely on the skills of our project manager to have the appropriate permits, materials and sub-trades on site. Our jobs run smoothly and safely, and site cleanup is consistent and reliable.
